Day Naught
The script. Why is scripted dialogue the benchmark? Like I don't understand this. Video essays and written ones always use film or television as the benchmark on how to navigate or interact with life. Like I don't get it, it's scripted and no one talks like that in real life. We talk over eachother, barely listen to what the other person is saying and many of us aren't able to think of witty things on the fly. We wallow about it for days thinking about what we should have said in the shower 😂
These scripts are written by amazing writers who have time to write the most appealing thing ever because it's their job. Basically you in the shower thinking shit I should have said this to Bob the son of a bitch.
It's pretty dumbfounding. We aren't movie characters or screenplay writers, we live very messy lives and as a result our dialogue is also very messy. A lot of us live sheltered lives where we aren't snappy, we appease, we don't argue, we apologise. The few of us who exhibit these behaviours are paid millions for it or mocked on the internet for being out there and unruly.
